Chris Kimm
Chris is a climber, technologist, and dad. He has over 20 years of experience managing software teams that have built market-leading products. Since co-founding Laszlo Systems, a pioneer in interactive media development tools, he has been focused on mission-oriented projects in education, clean energy, and most recently, fitness. An early engineering lead at clean energy company Opower, Chris oversaw the Data Services organization as that company grew from startup to IPO and eventual acquisition by Oracle in 2016. Chris is currently Director of Engineering at Fitbit, where he leads the teams building their analytics and machine learning infrastructure. A vocal evangelist for digital privacy, he is also the lead of Fitbit’s Data Protection Initiative, through which he advocates for responsible data governance and consumer privacy rights.
