GLOBAL CLIMBING DAY CHALLENGE

KAYA is excited to team up with The North Face for this year’s Global Climbing Day. Starting August 9th, grab your friends, chalk up, and log and upload your beta videos on as many climbs as you can, indoors or out, in KAYA’s virtual Global Climbing Day experience. The challenge will run from August 9th through Global Climbing Day on August 21st, 2021.

Challenge Details:

Be a part of something bigger this Global Climbing Day. Join KAYA as we team up with The North Face and gyms around the globe to celebrate climbing and the community it creates. Whether you are a first-time climber or a seasoned veteran, Global Climbing Day celebrates all climbers. Invite your friends and head to your local crag or gym and log as many boulders as you can. Be sure to upload your beta videos to receive points for those sends!

Participation is free — all you need is a free KAYA account.

Scoring + Prizes:

Log climbs and upload beta videos to add points to your scorecard. Each climb you send is worth one point.

The top 50 climbers with the most points at the end of Global Climbing Day will win a The North Face Duffel Bag (size small). Competitors that place 51st — 200 will receive a The North Face International Collection Tee.

How to Register for Global Climbing Day:

1. Download KAYA, the climber’s app

2. Login or create your free account

3. Search for the Global Climbing Day Challenge

4. Tap on Join Challenge and answer the two registration questions

5. Invite your friends and begin competing in the Global Climbing Day Challenge

How to Log Sends and Beta Videos:

1. Search for the climb you want to log

2. Swipe right to log the climb and start a session

3. Tap on the camera icon to upload a beta video

4. Repeat Steps 1 - 3 for each climb you want to log

5. Finished climbing? Tap on your logbook to view your current session, then click Save Session
